We’d rather bury our heads in our phones, enshrouded in our self-reinforcing echo chambers than make a real, face to face connection with our fellow human beings. Those on the extremes of the left or the right, see each other as monsters, and would surely execute the other in the town square if a revolution erupted. We’re spinning out of control, separating ourselves from our souls, falling deeper and deeper into the isolation of addictions we don’t even know we have. Religious or atheist, we worship the great algorithmic feedback loop that has become our self-imposed prisons.
